Kidd, Lee Named All-Stars

Jason Kidd and David Lee were added to the All-Star Game Thursday, replacing Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson, respectively. This will be Lee's first appearance and Kidd's 10th.

Kobe and AI's absence from the court means that quite a bit of star power will be lost. Kidd is a hometown guy though, and Lee can get up and down the court, so perhaps the fans will be satisfied and still excited to watch the game. If you're counting, four players have now been replaced (Chris Paul and Brandon Roy are the other two injured players; they were replaced by Chauncey Billups and Chris Kaman). That brings your total number of All-Stars to 28, which certainly leaves some doubt that the game is truly a showcase of the best of the best.
